The World HOLISTIC and Alternative Health Convention
The World Alternative Health Convention is an integrative wellness gathering of various alternative health practitioners from all over the world to be held at St.Carlos Medical Spa Bangkok Centre, an urban health retreat in amazing Bangkok, Thailand on September 28 – 29, 2009.
An intricate part of this convention is that it reveals alternative health and wellness programs not only practiced in Thailand but also all over the world. In years gone by, traditional medical practitioners practiced many different forms of traditional treatments to heal and cure illnesses. Many of these practitioners were referred to as witch doctors, herbal revellers among others.
Nowadays in our stressful, fast-facing, modern society, many people have come to realize the great benefits that the herbalists,Chinese medical practitioners, acupuncturists, massage therapists and many other alternative health providers can offer not only to treat their illnesses but also to reduce stresses in their lives. As a result, many traditional healers and alternative health professionals have quickly gained recognition on their field of expertise; hence, the old practices are new again.
Even today’s modern medical specialists and insurance companies recognize the benefits of alternative health and are gradually integrating many of these traditional practices into their practices and insurance coverage. This convention is devoted to highlighting how mainstream medicine and alternative health both have a role to play in maintaining health in our modern day’s society.
THE CONVENTION PHILOSOPHY
The philosophy of this convention is patterned to equip all sectors of alternative health and mainstream medicine with the knowledge in integrative wellness practices thus providing a holistic approach of care. It is a common belief that true wellness lies in the harmony of our three essential health components-- the elemental, structural, and emotional states--enabling a longer life full of contentment. Each component is important on its own and in relations to the others. As such, integrative wellness requires a holistic approach to a healthy life.
The World Alternative Health Convention will undoubtedly enhance the alternative health practitioner knowledge not just in his own field but also to the broad spectrum of health and wellness practices. Asia has been recognized as the beginning of the many alternative health practices for centuries now so what better places to hold and convene such an enlightening events as this congress.
The congress will bring together individuals from all over the world to share their knowledge and meet many of the world’s leading alternative health practitioners.
